The courtship behavior of the redshank is very versatile. Their "3D dances" are particularly impressive, in which they try to impress their partners with sometimes strange performances. We were able to observe them well from our small house by the sea in Lofoten and, thanks to the 500mm Nikkor with aperture 4.0, we were also able to photograph them well in the evening.
