The Inner Hebrides are an island group off the west coast of Scotland and part of the British Isles. They consist of more than 70 islands, about 30 of which are inhabited. The most famous include Skye, Mull, Islay, Jura, and Iona. The landscape is characterized by rugged coasts, mountains, moors, and remote beaches. The islands are rich in Celtic heritage, whisky distilleries, and diverse wildlife, including sea eagles, otters, and seals.
