Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory located at the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula. It borders Spain and controls the strategically important Strait of Gibraltar, which connects the Atlantic Ocean with the Mediterranean Sea. Its landmark is the iconic Rock of Gibraltar, home to the famous Barbary macaques (the only wild monkeys in Europe). Gibraltar blends British and Mediterranean influences and holds great cultural as well as military significance.
