Lucerne is a city in central Switzerland, located on Lake Lucerne at the gateway to the Swiss Alps. It is famous for its well-preserved old town, the medieval Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke) with its Water Tower, and the Musegg Wall with its towers. Lucerne is a cultural hub, hosting renowned festivals such as the Lucerne Festival, and offers easy access to Mount Pilatus and Mount Rigi. Its combination of lake and mountain scenery makes Lucerne one of Switzerland’s most popular destinations.
