Barcelona is the capital of Catalonia and Spain’s second-largest city after Madrid. Located on the Mediterranean Sea, it is renowned for its architecture, culture, and vibrant urban life. Especially influential are the works of Antoni Gaudí, including the unfinished Sagrada Família basilica, Park Güell, and Casa Batlló. Barcelona is also famous for the promenade La Rambla, its harbor, and its role as a center for art, design, and sports.
