Narvik is a town in northern Norway, located in Nordland County on the Ofotfjord. Its ice-free harbor makes it an important port for exporting iron ore from Sweden. Surrounded by high mountains, Narvik is a popular destination for winter sports, particularly skiing with views of the fjord. The Northern Lights in winter and the Midnight Sun in summer also add to its appeal. Historically, Narvik is known for the Battle of Narvik during World War II.
