The Lofoten Islands are an archipelago in northern Norway, located above the Arctic Circle in Nordland County. They are renowned for their spectacular landscapes with rugged mountains, deep fjords, white sandy beaches, and picturesque fishing villages such as Henningsvær and Reine. The region is famous for its long-standing fishing traditions, particularly stockfish (tørrfisk), as well as for natural phenomena such as the Midnight Sun in summer and the Northern Lights in winter.
