Innlandet is a county in eastern Norway, established in 2020 through the merger of the former counties Hedmark and Oppland. It borders Sweden and covers a vast inland area with forests, lakes, valleys, and mountains. Notable natural areas include the Jotunheimen National Park, home to Norway’s highest peaks, as well as Rondane and Dovrefjell National Parks. Innlandet is also a hub for winter sports, agriculture, and traditional Norwegian culture. Its capital is Hamar.

Mountain plateau Valdresflye

The wonderful scenic route across the Valdresflye plateau is one of the 18 Norwegian Tourist Routes, which are maintained by the Norwegian State Roads Administration especially for tourism because of their picturesque landscape. There are parking and rest areas along the route and there are also vantage points at particularly impressive points.
