Chambord is located in the Loire Valley, France, and is world-famous for Château de Chambord, the largest and most magnificent of the Loire castles. Built in the 16th century under King Francis I in the style of the French Renaissance, it is considered a masterpiece of architecture. Its double-helix staircase, attributed to Leonardo da Vinci, and its distinctive towers and rooftops are particularly iconic. Chambord is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a symbol of royal power and grandeur.
