Baden-Württemberg is a federal state in southwestern Germany, bordering France and Switzerland. Its capital is Stuttgart, an important economic and cultural hub. The region is famous for the Black Forest, the Swabian Jura, Lake Constance, and numerous castles and historic towns such as Heidelberg and Freiburg. Baden-Württemberg is considered one of Germany’s economically strongest states, home to major automobile manufacturers and rich in cultural traditions in music, literature, and crafts.
