Jutland is a peninsula in northern Europe forming the mainland part of Denmark and bordering Germany to the south. It stretches between the North Sea to the west and the Kattegat and Baltic Sea to the east. The landscape is characterized by dunes, heathlands, fertile plains, and coastal areas with long sandy beaches. Cities such as Aarhus and Aalborg are important cultural and economic centers. Historically, Jutland was a core area of the Vikings.
