Zadar is a coastal city in Dalmatia, Croatia, situated on the Adriatic Sea. With a history spanning more than 3,000 years, it has been an important trade and cultural hub in antiquity, the Middle Ages, and beyond. The old town features Roman ruins, Byzantine churches such as the Church of St. Donatus, and Venetian fortifications (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Today, Zadar is also known for its modern attractions, including the Sea Organ and the “Greeting to the Sun,” installations combining light, sound, and the motion of the waves. Zadar represents a vibrant blend of history, culture, and Mediterranean lifestyle.
