Dubrovnik is a port city in southern Croatia on the Adriatic coast and one of the most famous destinations in the Mediterranean. Its well-preserved Old Town, surrounded by massive stone walls, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Landmarks include the Rector’s Palace, the Cathedral, and the Stradun promenade. Because of its beauty, the city is often called the “Pearl of the Adriatic.” Dubrovnik also gained fame as a filming location for the series Game of Thrones.
