Brussels is the capital of Belgium and also the administrative center of the European Union and NATO. Located in the heart of the country, it blends Flemish and Walloon culture. Brussels is famous for the Grand Place (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Atomium, Manneken Pis, and its Art Nouveau architecture. In addition to its political importance, the city is also renowned for its gastronomy, especially Belgian chocolate, waffles, and beer.
