Latin description
Haliaeetus albicilla

The White-tailed Eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla) is one of the largest birds of prey in Europe and a symbol of pristine nature. With its impressive wingspan of up to 2.5 meters and light head plumage, it is unmistakable. White-tailed Eagles thrive near lakes, rivers, and coasts, where they hunt fish and waterfowl. Thanks to successful conservation efforts, their populations have recovered in many parts of Europe. Their majestic flight makes them a spectacular subject for photographers.
