The Faroe Islands are an autonomous territory within the Kingdom of Denmark, located in the North Atlantic between Scotland, Norway, and Iceland. They comprise 18 main islands, connected by tunnels, bridges, and ferries. The islands are famous for their dramatic landscapes with steep cliffs, green valleys, waterfalls, and rich birdlife. The capital, Tórshavn, is one of Europe’s smallest capitals.
