Dubai is the most populous emirate of the United Arab Emirates, located on the Persian Gulf. Over the past decades, the city of the same name has developed into a global hub for trade, finance, and tourism. Dubai is famous for its futuristic skyline, including the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, as well as artificial island projects such as Palm Jumeirah. Alongside luxury and modernity, Dubai also preserves traditional markets (souks) and the historic old town around Dubai Creek.
