Shikoku is the smallest of Japan’s four main islands, located south of Honshū and separated by the Seto Inland Sea. The island is known for its diverse landscapes, hot springs, and traditional villages. Shikoku is especially famous for the 88 Temple Pilgrimage, an important Buddhist journey that circles the island. Cities such as Matsuyama, home to the Dōgo Onsen, and Takamatsu are cultural highlights.
