Himeji is a city in Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan, renowned for Himeji Castle, considered one of the most beautiful and best-preserved castles in Japan. Due to its elegant white exterior, it is also called the “White Heron.” The castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a prime example of 17th-century Japanese architecture. Himeji is also an important regional transport hub between Osaka and Hiroshima.
