Yanqing is a northwestern district of Beijing, located in a mountainous area near the border with Hebei Province. It is renowned for its natural scenery with valleys, forests, and sections of the Great Wall of China, including Badaling, one of the most visited and best-preserved stretches of the Wall. Yanqing played an important role in the 2022 Winter Olympics, hosting alpine skiing, bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton events. The district is also known for the Songshan National Nature Reserve and for hosting the 2019 International Horticultural Expo.
