Peru is located on the west coast of South America and is a country of great geographical and cultural diversity. It includes parts of the Andes, the Amazon Basin, and the Pacific coast. Peru is famous for its Inca heritage with the ruins of Machu Picchu, for colonial cities such as Cusco and Arequipa, and for its indigenous culture and diverse cuisine.
