Panama City (Ciudad de Panamá) is the capital and largest city of Panama, located on the Pacific coast at the entrance to the Panama Canal. It is a major financial and commercial hub in Central America, combining modern skyscrapers with the colonial old town Casco Viejo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Panama City is considered a gateway between North and South America.
