Chichén Itzá

Chichén Itzá is a major Mayan archaeological site on Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. Between the 7th and 13th centuries, it was a cultural and political center. It is famous for the Pyramid of Kukulcán (El Castillo), the Great Ball Court, and the Temple of the Warriors. Chichén Itzá is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
