Catemaco is a town in the state of Veracruz, Mexico, located on the shores of Lake Catemaco. The region is famous for its lush rainforests, waterfalls, and the tradition of healers and shamans, making Catemaco a center of spiritual tourism. Nearby, the Los Tuxtlas Biosphere Reserve protects one of Mexico’s last tropical rainforest areas.
