Geoffroy spider monkeys (Ateles geoffroyi yucatanensis) live in Central America and thus have the northernmost range of all spider monkeys. Their distribution area extends from eastern Mexico to Panama. Their habitat is forests, they occur in various types of forest, mainly in lowland rainforests, but also in deciduous forests, cloud forests and mangroves. (Wikipedia)
